About IPO Sahayak

IPO Sahayak is an independent Indian IPO information site. We collect the numbers that decide whether an IPO is worth applying to — price band, lot size, issue size, category-wise subscription, grey market premium and allotment dates — and present them on one page per issue, in plain language.

Why this site exists

A retail investor deciding on an IPO usually has a few hours and a scattered set of sources: a 400-page red herring prospectus, an exchange bid-detail page that updates three times a day, and a registrar site that only matters after allotment. Most of that information is public, but it is not in one place and it is rarely written for someone applying for the first time.

We put the decision-relevant parts of that on a single page per IPO: what the company does, what it is asking investors to pay, how the book is filling up, and what the known risks are. Where we form a view on the numbers, we say so and show the figures the view is based on.

Where our data comes from

  • Issue terms (price band, lot size, issue size, face value, reservation, dates) come from the company's DRHP and RHP filed with SEBI, and from the exchange issue pages on NSE and BSE.
  • Subscription figures come from the bid-detail pages the exchanges publish while an issue is open. Exchanges revise these during the day, so a figure here reflects the last update we read, not a live tick.
  • Allotment and listing dates come from the issue timetable and the registrar handling the issue.
  • Grey market premium is an unofficial, unregulated figure quoted by grey-market dealers. It is not published by any exchange or regulator, nobody audits it, and it can move sharply or be quoted differently by different dealers. We show it because readers ask for it — see the caution below.

What grey market premium is not

GMP is the single most misread number on any IPO site, so we want to be blunt about it. GMP is a price quoted in an informal market that has no regulator, no clearing house and no obligation to settle. It reflects sentiment among a small set of dealers on a given day.

A high GMP is not a forecast of listing gains, not a guarantee of allotment, and not a reason on its own to apply. IPOs have listed below their issue price after showing a strong premium days earlier. Treat GMP as one weak sentiment signal alongside the company's financials and the risk factors in its RHP — never as a substitute for them.

How we handle accuracy and corrections

IPO data changes fast, and aggregated data can be wrong. Price bands get revised, issues get extended or withdrawn, and subscription figures are restated. We update pages as sources change, but there will be a lag, and there will be mistakes.

Before you commit money, confirm the numbers against the RHP, the exchange issue page, or your broker. Those are the authoritative sources; we are not.

If you find something wrong on this site, email support@iposahayak.com with the page and the correct figure. We fix confirmed errors and do not quietly delete pages to hide them.

Independence and how we are funded

IPO Sahayak is funded by advertising. We do not take payment from companies, merchant bankers or brokers to cover an IPO, to describe one favourably, or to leave one out. No listing on this site is sponsored.

We are not a SEBI-registered investment adviser or research analyst, and nothing on this site is personalised investment advice or a recommendation to buy or sell any security. Everything here is general information. Please read our disclaimer and terms.
